Malifaux Tournament 22/2/26

A one-day event will be held on 22 February 2026 to mark the conclusion of the inaugural 4th edition league out of Leodis. The event is intended for beginners and will feature extended round timings of 2.5hrs.

Tournament Rules:

• The tournament will use the latest Gaining Grounds rules and consist of three rounds. Deployment, strategies, and scheme pools will be drawn in January.

• The event format will be Fixed Keyword

• Unreleased M4e models may be used with either the app or a physical card.

• Proxies are allowed as long as they are appropriate representation of the models they represent.

• Official proxies , alternative sculpts and Nightmare models are allowed, However Wyrd models may only be used to represent what they are unless significantly converted  

• Models must be fully assembled and on the appropriate size base. The majority of the crew should be fully painted. There will be a prize for best painted crew.

• At the start of each round players will hire a 50ss crew including upgrades for their nominated keyword using the guidance from the current Gaining Grounds.

• Chess Clocks are optional, if one player doesn’t wish to use them then they are not used.

• Terrain will be placed in advance by the To and must not be moved by the players. If the terrain causes a potential issue with strategies or deployments please ask a TO or judge.

Schedule

If everyone has finished rounds 2 and 3 before the official end time, then we will start the next section ahead of schedule.

We will be using longshanks as the tournament management tool with prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Best painted and spoon.
There will be no byes if there is an odd number of players on the day the TO will play using the crossroad 7 as the crew but his score will not count.
